Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country.FDR was a hack and knew nothing about what democracy really is. In fact, most statists do not understand what democracy is as well. We are fed the propaganda definition, like the one FDR gives, that state that we rule ourselves through democratic votes or by electing representatives in a republic. This is all nonsense. As I stated in my last entry on Tuesday, government in any form always comes at the cost of liberty. This is true for any system that says it's "better" than any other by how it distributes power. In the case of a democracy, the theory is that it is distributed among the people through votes. This, on the surface, seems like a fair system. Everyone gets a say, we tally the votes and then the majority wins. This, however, is exactly why "democracy" is a terrible system. It's simply a euphemism for mob rule.
